Public Transport
To reach Burg Wildegg from Vienna, take the U6 subway line to Siebenhirten. Transfer to bus line 266 towards Sittendorf and get off at the 'Wildegg' stop. From there, it's approximately a 10-minute walk to the castle. A single ticket for public transport in Vienna costs around €2.40. The bus from Mödling to Sittendorf Feuerwehr (Line 264) runs hourly.

A Postbus Shuttle is available from Vienna or Mödling to Sittendorf. Book via the Postbus Shuttle app or by calling 0800 80 80 66. Enter '2736' or 'Sittendorf Wildeggerstr. / Neuweg' as the destination. The shuttle stops near the Reitschule Wildegg, a 7-minute walk to the castle. The shuttle costs approximately €7 per person from Vienna Liesing (or €2 with a Top-Jugendticket).

From Vienna, take the A23 motorway south, merge onto the A2 towards Graz, and take exit 13 towards Wiener Neudorf. Follow B17 and signs for Sittendorf. In Sittendorf, follow signs to Reitschule Wildegg. At the riding school, Burg Wildegg is visible on the hill. Turn right onto the unpaved road past the riding school and follow it to the castle. Parking is available near the castle. Driving time from Vienna is approximately 20 minutes. Taxi fare from Vienna Hbf to Sittendorf is about €28-€35.
