The Prater Turm is a towering swing carousel located within Vienna's famous Wiener Prater amusement park. Standing at an impressive 117 meters (384 feet), it is one of the tallest attractions of its kind in Europe. Since opening on May 1, 2010, the Prater Turm has offered thrill-seekers and sightseers alike a unique way to experience Vienna from above.The ride features 12 double seats that ascend around a central column. As the carousel rises, the views expand to encompass famous landmarks such as St. Stephen's Cathedral and Schönbrunn Palace, and on clear days, even the distant hills surrounding Vienna. Reaching the top, riders experience a gentle swing at speeds up to 60 kilometers per hour (37 mph), creating an exhilarating sensation.
