Situated on the site of a former customs station, the museum symbolizes the dissolving borders of a united Europe. The museum is dedicated to the work of Fabrizio Plessi, a renowned Italian artist known for his video sculptures and installations that often incorporate the theme of water. The museum building itself is an impressive structure with large glass surfaces and a roof constructed of wood and Corten steel. Inside, visitors can explore Plessi's art, including his installation "The Soul of Nature," created for the Expo 2000 in Hanover.
