A single bus fare from Steinach am Brenner to Obernberg costs approximately €4-6.

From Innsbruck, take the A13 Brennerautobahn south towards Italy. Exit at Nösslach and follow the signs to Obernberg am Brenner. Continue through the village of Obernberg, following signs for Obernberger See. Drive to the end of the valley where you'll find a paid parking area (Parkplatz Waldesruh) near Gasthof Waldesruh. From the parking lot, it's approximately a 30-40 minute walk to the Rodelbahn and Obernberger See. Parking costs €3.5 for 3 hours, with each additional hour costing €0.50, up to a daily maximum of €7 (from 8:00 to 18:00).

From the Parkplatz Waldesruh, follow the signs towards Obernberger See. The path is well-marked and initially follows a farm track. You can choose between two routes: a path across the meadows (no shade) or a dirt road (some shade). Both routes lead to the lake and the Rodelbahn area. The walk takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace and chosen route. Be aware that the final section of the path to the lake and toboggan run is uphill.
