Driving

From the A13 Brenner motorway, take the Matrei am Brenner exit and follow signs for Navis. Drive through the Navis Valley on Unterweg road. In Navis, turn left at the church and continue to the first sharp left-hand bend. Continue straight to the Naviserhütte car park (Schrattergatter). Parking fees at Schranzberg are approximately €5-7 per day. From the parking lot, hike to Stöcklalm (1.5-2 hours).

Public Transport

Take a bus from Innsbruck to Navis. From the Navis Dorf bus stop, it's approximately a 1.5-2 hour hike to Stöcklalm. Follow the hiking trails from the Schranzberg parking space near Naviser Hütte. Bus fare from Innsbruck to Navis is approximately €7-€11.

From the Schranzberg parking space near Naviser Hütte, follow the hiking trails to Stöcklalm. The hike takes approximately 1.5-2 hours. The trail passes through forests and alpine meadows.

Stöcklalm, situated at 1,882 meters in the Navis Valley, provides an authentic Tyrolean mountain experience. More than just a restaurant, it embodies the region's traditions, natural beauty, and hospitality.Historically, Stöcklalm served as a shelter for shepherds and travelers. Today, it welcomes visitors with hearty meals made from local ingredients. The cabin has a rustic charm with a weathered wooden exterior and flower-filled window boxes. The menu features Tyrolean dishes like *Kaspressknödel* (cheese dumplings) and *Tiroler Gröstl* (potatoes, meat, and onions). Enjoying a meal on the terrace with views of the Tux Alps is a memorable experience.In summer, hiking trails surround the valley, leading to viewpoints and alpine huts. The Naviser Almenrunde connects Stöcklalm with Peeralm, Poltenalm, and Klammalm. For a challenge, the Naviser Kreuzjöchl offers panoramic views. In winter, Stöcklalm is popular for ski touring and tobogganing. The winter hike along the sledge run starts at the Schranzberg parking space.
