The Kitzsteinhorn Glacier, rising 3,203 meters above sea level, is a prominent peak in the High Tauern range and a landmark of Kaprun. As Austria's first glacier ski resort, developed between 1961 and 1965, it offers a unique alpine experience 365 days a year. The glacier is accessible via a series of modern gondolas, making it the highest point in the Salzburg region reachable without special climbing skills.At the summit, known as the 'Top of Salzburg,' visitors can explore panoramic platforms offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Alps, including the Großglockner, Austria's highest mountain.
