Summer access routes include a 30-minute descent from the Schmittenhöhe cable car station, a 1.5-hour hike from the Wengerweg trailhead (with 12 parking spaces available), and longer approaches from Piesendorf (2-2.5 hours) and Zell am See (3 hours). The hut serves as a waypoint on two major long-distance trails: the Arnoweg through Salzburg and Weitwanderweg 02 connecting Niederösterreich to Vorarlberg.
