Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the center of Sheki, near the Sheki Khan's Palace. Head southwest on Mirza Fatali Akhundov Street (also known as the street where the palace is located). Walk for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with the main road (Quba-Sheki Road). Continue straight on Mirza Fatali Akhundov Street, and after about another 10 minutes, you will see Shaki Castle on your left, located at the coordinates 41.2037462, 47.1968073. The castle is clearly visible from the street.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From the center of Sheki, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is usually located near the Sheki Khan's Palace. Take a minibus heading towards the direction of Quba or Gakh. The fare is minimal, and the journey will take about 10-15 minutes. Ask the driver to let you off at the stop for Shaki Castle, or simply tell them 'Shaki Qalasi'. Once you get off, walk a short distance on foot (approximately 5 minutes) and you will reach the castle entrance.

    If you have access to a bicycle, rent one from a local shop. Start from the center of Sheki and head southwest along Mirza Fatali Akhundov Street. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes depending on your speed. You will see Shaki Castle on your left as you approach the area. There is usually a bike parking area near the entrance.
