To reach Delta River, start from Kolkata and take a local train from Sealdah Railway Station to Canning (approximately ₹20-₹30). From Canning, hire a shared auto-rickshaw or bus to Godkhali Jetty (approximately ₹30-₹50). Then, take a boat to Pakhiralay (approximately ₹100-₹200 per person for a shared boat, or ₹1500-₹2000 for a private boat). Once in Pakhiralay, hire a local rickshaw to Delta River (approximately ₹50-₹100). Remember to negotiate fares beforehand.
Taxi/Ride-Share & Boat
Alternatively, hire a taxi or ride-share from Kolkata directly to Godkhali (approximately ₹2500-₹3500, 3-4 hours). From Godkhali, take a boat to Pakhiralay (approximately ₹100-₹200 per person for a shared boat, or ₹1500-₹2000 for a private boat). Once in Pakhiralay, hire a local rickshaw to Delta River (approximately ₹50-₹100). This option offers more convenience but is significantly more expensive. Parking at Godkhali Jetty may cost around ₹100-₹200 per day.
