From Sylhet, take a bus to Barlekha Upazila, which takes approximately 2-3 hours. From Barlekha, hire a CNG (auto-rickshaw) to reach Madhabkunda Waterfall. Expect to pay around BDT 400 for the bus from Sylhet to Moulvibazar. From Kulaura station, a reserved CNG to Madhabkunda costs approximately BDT 600. Alternatively, take a local CNG from Kulaura to Kathaltali market for BDT 30 per person, then reserve another CNG to Madhabkunda for BDT 200.

Take a train from Dhaka to Kulaura station in Moulvibazar. Train fares range from BDT 320 to 731 depending on the class. From Kulaura station, hire a CNG or car to Madhabkunda, which is about 6-7 km from Barlekha Upazila. Expect to pay BDT 400-1000 for the CNG/car.
