    Discover more about Bottom Bay

Bottom Bay is often hailed as one of the most beautiful and best-kept secrets of Barbados. Tucked away on the southeastern coast, this idyllic beach offers a serene and secluded experience, perfect for those seeking tranquility and natural beauty. The bay is characterized by its dramatic limestone cliffs, which provide panoramic views of the turquoise Atlantic Ocean. These cliffs are not only visually stunning but also offer opportunities for spotting turtles and whales in the waters below, especially between December and April. A stairway carved into the rock leads down to the beach, adding to the sense of discovery and seclusion. The beach itself is a crescent of soft, golden sand, lined with swaying coconut palms that provide shade and complete the picture-perfect Caribbean scene. The waves at Bottom Bay are typically stronger than those on the west coast, making it ideal for sunbathing and enjoying the ocean breeze, though swimming is generally not recommended due to the currents. Bottom Bay is a favorite spot for picnics, and its peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal place to relax and unwind. While there are no on-site restaurants or bars, occasional vendors sell refreshing coconut milkshakes and souvenirs. The beach is also known for its small caves carved into the coral cliffs, adding an element of adventure to your visit.
