From its beginnings as a simple dirt track carved out by sugar plantation workers in 1971, Bushy Park has evolved into the leading circuit-racing facility in the English-speaking Caribbean.
The track was refurbished and reopened in 2014, boasting a 2.01 km FIA Grade 4 course and a 1.2 km CIK Grade 1 course. Bushy Park has hosted numerous high-profile events, including the Top Gear Festival, Race of Champions, and Global RallyCross Championship. Beyond racing, Bushy Park offers karting, driving experiences, and community and cultural events.
Originally part of the Bushy Park and Pilgrim estate, the location has a rich history tied to the island's past. Visiting Bushy Park offers more than just racing thrills. Public Transport
From Bridgetown, the most economical way to reach Bushy Park is by bus. Look for the #9A or #10 bus operated by the Transport Board, heading towards Bushy Park Rd. These buses depart regularly from the Fairchild Street Terminal in Bridgetown. The bus fare is BBD 3.50 per person. Once you arrive at the Bushy Park Rd stop, it's approximately a 9-minute walk to the circuit.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis are readily available throughout Barbados and offer a direct route to Bushy Park. A taxi from Bridgetown will cost approximately BBD 74 - BBD 100, and the journey takes around 20 minutes.
