Foursquare Rum Distillery: A Taste of Barbadian Heritage

Located on the site of a former sugar plantation dating back to 1720, the Foursquare Rum Distillery is a modern marvel rooted in tradition. Founded in 1996 by the Seale family, with Richard Seale as the driving force, it has quickly become a beacon of quality and craftsmanship in the Caribbean spirits industry. Foursquare stands out for its commitment to producing authentic Barbadian rum. Eschewing the use of flavorings or additives, the distillery relies on traditional pot and column stills, as well as innovative aging techniques, to create a diverse range of rum expressions. The distillery uses both molasses and sugarcane juice blends as a base. Visitors are welcome to explore the distillery and heritage park, observing the rum-making process from start to finish.
