Welchman Hall Gully, located in the parish of St. Thomas, Barbados, is a captivating natural wonder that invites visitors to step back in time and experience the island's original landscape before extensive sugarcane cultivation. It was once part of the Welchman Hall Plantation, owned by General William Asygell Williams in the 17th century, who developed the gully by planting exotic trees and an orchard. The Barbados National Trust acquired the gully in 1962, making it their first property on the island. The gully is geologically connected to Harrison's Cave, with the cave's collapse creating a unique environment for plant and animal life to flourish.
