Public Transport
From Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, take the Transport Board bus (12A or 12D) directly to Crane. The bus departs from Fairchild Street Terminal every 30 minutes. The ride takes approximately 50 minutes. The bus will drop you off near the Crane roundabout, a short walk from the public beach access point. The fare is BDS$3.50 (approximately US$1.75), payable in cash.
Taxi/Ride-Share
From Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI), a taxi to Crane Beach costs approximately US$20-25 (BDS$40-50). The journey takes about 15 minutes. Taxis are readily available outside the airport. Ride-sharing services like Uber are not common in Barbados, so taxis are the primary option. Always confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
Driving
If driving from the airport, follow the signs for Sam Lord's Castle, then for The Crane. Pass Budget Supermarket and St. Martin's Church. Turn right at the small roundabout past the Crane Hotel entrance for public beach access. Parking is available at the end of Crane Beach Road near the public access point. Parking is free, but spaces are limited, especially during peak hours. Be prepared for a short walk along a rugged path to reach the beach.
