Public Transport
From Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, the most economical way to reach Crane Beach is by bus. The Transport Board operates direct buses (12A or 12D) from the Fairchild Street Terminal to Crane. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes and costs BDS$3.50 (approximately US$1.75). From the bus stop at Crane, it's a short walk to the public beach access point.
Taxi/Ride-Share
A taxi or ride-share from Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) to Crane Beach is a convenient option. The journey typically takes around 25 minutes, and the fare ranges from BDS$39 to BDS$50 (approximately US$20-US$25). Taxis are readily available at the airport. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your trip.
Driving
If driving from the airport, follow the signs towards Sam Lord's Castle. Continue past the castle, following the road as it bends to the right and then left, signposted for The Crane. Pass Budget Supermarket and St. Martin's Church. Continue past Foul Bay. Turn into the Crane Hotel entrance or continue to the roundabout for public beach access. Parking is available at the public access point, free of charge, but can be competitive.
