From Hastings, start at the main road (Hastings Main Road) and head east towards the main intersection. Continue walking along the road until you reach the roundabout at the junction with the ABC Highway. Take the first exit onto the ABC Highway heading south. Follow the footpath along the highway for about 1 kilometer until you reach the exit for Drill Hall Beach. Look for signs indicating the beach entrance, and follow the pathway leading down to the beach.
