The Speightstown Mural is located along the Queen Street in Speightstown and is easily accessible by foot from anywhere in the town center. From the Speightstown Bus Terminal, walk south along Queen Street for about 5 minutes. The mural is located on the north wall of Jordan's Supermarket, facing the beach. There are no costs associated with walking to the mural.
Public Transport
If arriving from other parts of Barbados, the most convenient way to reach the Speightstown Mural is by public bus. Several bus routes serve Speightstown, terminating at the Speightstown Bus Terminal. From Bridgetown, the #27 bus will take you directly to Speightstown Terminal. From the terminal, follow the walking directions above. A single bus fare is BBD 3.50.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available throughout Barbados. A taxi from Bridgetown to Speightstown will cost approximately BBD 80-100. Ask the driver to drop you off near Jordan's Supermarket on Queen Street. From there, the mural is easily visible. There are no parking costs, but confirm the fare before starting your trip.
Driving
If driving, navigate to Speightstown on Highway 1. Parking in Speightstown can be limited, especially during peak hours. There are some designated two-hour maximum parking spaces along Queen Street, Orange Street and Sand Street. There is also a small shopping center at the southern entrance to the centre that allows you to park for free, but only for customers. Once parked, walk to Jordan's Supermarket on Queen Street to view the mural. Be aware of the one-way traffic systems in Speightstown.
