Getting There

• Walking

  Starting from the Rockley Beach area, head east on Rockley Main Road. Walk along the road, which is lined with various shops and local eateries. Continue walking for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the junction with the ABC Highway. At this junction, you will see a large roundabout. Cross carefully to reach the opposite side of the road towards the direction of Bridgetown. From here, continue walking straight, following signs that direct you towards Bridgetown. You will pass several local landmarks including the Accra Beach area. Keep walking straight until you reach a slight incline. After approximately 25-30 minutes, you will arrive at George Washington House, located at 12A Bush Hill, Bridgetown, Saint Michael. The entrance will be on your left, and you can recognize it by its historical architecture.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From your location in Rockley, walk to the nearest bus stop on Rockley Main Road. Look for the yellow 'ZR' buses that travel towards Bridgetown. Board the bus and inform the driver that your destination is George Washington House. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, and you will be dropped off near the Bridgetown area. Once you get off the bus, walk down towards the main road and follow the signs for George Washington House, which is about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop. The entrance will be located at 12A Bush Hill, Bridgetown, Saint Michael.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from your current location in Rockley. Simply ask your accommodation's front desk or a local to call a taxi for you. Once in the taxi, tell the driver you want to go to George Washington House, located at 12A Bush Hill, Bridgetown, Saint Michael. The ride will take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of the house.
