Public Transport
From Bridgetown or other locations along Highway 7, take a 'West Coast' or 'Sandy Lane' bus. The fare is approximately $3.50 BBD. Inform the driver you wish to get off near Sandy Lane Beach. The bus will drop you off on Highway 1 near Sandy Lane Road. Walk down Sandy Lane Road for about 5-10 minutes to reach the public access path to the beach, located next to One Sandy Lane.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis are readily available throughout Barbados. A taxi from Bridgetown to Sandy Lane Beach will cost approximately $30-40 BBD, depending on traffic and your negotiation skills. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. The taxi can drop you off directly at the public access path to the beach on Sandy Lane Road.
Driving
From Bridgetown, follow Highway 1 (the main west coast road) north. Pass through Paynes Bay. Shortly after, look for signs for Sandy Lane. Turn right onto Sandy Lane Road. Limited free parking is available on the main road near the public beach access path. Arrive early, especially during peak times, to secure a parking spot.
