Getting There

• Car

  To reach Godings Bay by car from anywhere on the West Coast, head south on the main road, Highway 1. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Speightstown. After approximately 10 minutes of driving, you will pass through Holetown and then into the more rural areas. Continue until you reach the signal at the junction with the A1 road. Take a right onto the A1 and follow the signs to Speightstown. After about 5 minutes, look for Godings Bay on your left. There is limited parking available nearby, so be sure to arrive early to secure a spot.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus (route 1 or route 2) from anywhere along the West Coast. Look for the buses with the destination marked as Speightstown. The fare is approximately $2 BBD (Barbadian Dollars). Ask the driver to let you off at Godings Bay, which is a popular stop. From there, you will need to walk a short distance to the beach area, which is marked by a small path leading down to the water.

  For a more direct route to Godings Bay, consider taking a taxi. Taxis are readily available along the West Coast and you can easily flag one down. Depending on your starting point, the fare will vary, but expect to pay between $10 to $30 BBD. Make sure to tell the driver you want to go to Godings Bay.
