If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to the city of Bouillon. From the center of the Ardennes region, take the N4 road heading south towards Bouillon. Continue on N4 until you reach the junction with the N89. Take the N89 and follow the signs for Bouillon. Once you arrive in Bouillon, look for signs directing you to 'Esplanade Godefroy 1'. There is parking available near the castle, but be aware that parking may incur a fee.
Public Transportation
To reach Bouillon Castle via public transportation, first take a train to the nearest major train station, which is in the town of Charleville-Mézières, France. From there, you can take a local bus (Bus No. 60) that goes directly to Bouillon. The bus will drop you off in the town center. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to Esplanade Godefroy 1 where Bouillon Castle is located. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited on weekends.
Walking
If you are already in Bouillon, you can easily walk to Bouillon Castle from the town center. From the main square, head towards the river Semois and cross the bridge. Follow the signs to Bouillon Castle, which is located on a hill overlooking the town. The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes and offers beautiful views of the surrounding area.
