    From Liège, take a train to Verviers-Central. From Verviers, several bus lines connect to different points within the Hautes-Fagnes. For example, bus line 395 goes to Malmedy, which provides access to the southern part of the High Fens. Bus E23 goes from Eupen to Butgenbach, another access point. Check the TEC website for current schedules and fares. A single bus fare is approximately €3.

  • Driving

    From Eupen or Malmedy, follow the E42 and then local roads towards Hautes-Fagnes. The N68 and N676 are major routes through the area. Numerous parking areas are available along the main roads. Be aware that parking can be limited during peak season, and a traffic light system indicates the accessibility of the High Fens. Parking is generally free. Check road conditions, especially in winter.
