    If arriving by car, head towards Neufchâteau in the Ardennes Mountains. From the center of Neufchâteau, take the N40 road heading southeast for approximately 3 kilometers, then turn left onto Chem. de la Source. Continue on this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach Observatoire Centre Ardenne, located at Chem. de la Source 100, 6840 Neufchâteau. Parking is available on-site and is free of charge.

  • Public Transport

    To reach Observatoire Centre Ardenne via public transportation, first take a train to Neufchâteau. From the Neufchâteau Station, take bus line 10 towards 'Grapfontaine'. Get off at the 'Chem. de la Source' stop and walk approximately 500 meters to reach Observatoire Centre Ardenne. Bus fare is approximately €3 for a single trip. Check local bus schedules for timings, as services may vary.

  • Walking

    If you are already in Neufchâteau and prefer to walk, start from the Neufchâteau train station. Head southeast on Rue de la Station, then turn left onto Rue de la Procession. Follow this road until you reach N40, cross over and take Chem. de la Source. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer to reach Observatoire Centre Ardenne. This walking route takes approximately 20-30 minutes.

Whether you're a seasoned astronomer or a curious beginner, the OCA provides an engaging and educational experience.The observatory boasts impressive equipment, including six domes and a cutting-edge planetarium. Its powerful telescopes, including a 610 mm telescope, are among the largest in Belgium, offering breathtaking views of celestial objects. The OCA also houses a radio astronomy device for detecting meteors, installed by the Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy.Visitors can participate in various activities, such as guided tours of the site, planetarium sessions, astronomy lectures, and hands-on workshops. Knowledgeable astronomers are always on hand to share their expertise and passion for the night sky. For a truly unforgettable experience, spend a night under the stars in the transparent Bio-Sphair bubble or beneath the planetarium dome.
