Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, you can easily reach Ardenne from various locations in the Ardennes Mountains. From the center of Bouillon, take the N40 road heading north. Follow this road for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the N62. Turn left onto the N62 and drive for another 15 kilometers. After passing through the small town of Malmedy, continue straight on the N62 until you see signs for Waimes. Ardenne is located just outside Waimes at coordinates 50.501667, 6.093056. Parking is available nearby, and there may be a small fee depending on the season.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Ardenne via public transportation, start by taking a train to the Malmedy station. Trains run frequently from major cities like Brussels and Liège. Once you arrive at Malmedy, exit the station and catch bus number 294 towards Waimes. The bus journey will take approximately 25 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver that you would like to get off at the stop for Ardenne. Check the bus schedules ahead of time, as they may vary and some services may not operate on weekends. A single bus ticket costs around €2.50.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, cycling to Ardenne is a fantastic option. If you're starting from Malmedy, take the Ravel 2 cycle route, which is well-marked and follows a scenic path through the forests and hills. The ride is approximately 10 kilometers and takes about 30 to 40 minutes. Ensure you have a good map or GPS device, as some parts of the route may be less visible. Be prepared for some uphill sections, but the views are worth the effort!
