Discover more about Kursaal Oostende

Kursaal Oostende is more than just a building; it's a cultural icon that has shaped the entertainment landscape of Ostend for over a century. The original Kursaal, constructed in 1878, offered a theater and event space, quickly becoming a focal point for the coastal resort city. Sadly, it was destroyed during World War II. The current structure, designed by architect Léon Stynen and completed in 1950, stands as a testament to modernist design, characterized by its clean lines and use of white portland stone. Inside, visitors can find a casino, concert hall, and various event spaces. The building also features works by artist Paul Delvaux. Today, Kursaal Oostende continues to host a diverse array of events, from concerts and comedy shows to exhibitions and galas. Its location, right on the beach and in the heart of the city, makes it easily accessible and a central part of Ostend's vibrant atmosphere. Whether you're catching a show, trying your luck at the casino, or simply admiring the architecture, the Kursaal offers a taste of Ostend's unique blend of seaside charm and cultural sophistication.
