The Monk is centrally located on Vlamingstraat, making it easily accessible on foot from most central Bruges locations. From the Markt (main square), walk northeast along Steenstraat, then turn right onto Vlamingstraat. The Monk will be on your left. The walk is approximately 5 minutes. No costs involved.
Public Transport
If arriving by train at Brugge Station, take bus lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16 or 23 to the city center. Get off at the 'Markt' or 'Sint-Salvatorskerk' stop. From there, walk to Vlamingstraat. A single bus ticket costs €3 if purchased in advance or €3.50 if purchased from the driver. The bus ride is approximately 10 minutes, followed by a short walk.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Bruges, including at Brugge Station and the Markt. A taxi ride from the train station to The Monk on Vlamingstraat will take approximately 5-10 minutes. The estimated fare is around €11-€15. Taxi stands are located at Stationsplein, Boeveriestraat and Philipstockstraat.
