    Walking

    Start at the Blankenberge train station. Exit the station and head east on Langestraat towards the beach (approximately 1 km). Once you reach the beach promenade, turn right and walk along the promenade until you reach the end of the beach. From there, turn left onto Zeedijk and continue walking. You will eventually reach the main square of Blankenberge. Keep walking straight until you reach the central square, where you will find various restaurants and shops. From the square, find the public transport stop for the bus to Ghent. Board the bus heading towards Ghent and enjoy the scenic route. After about 30 minutes, get off at 'Gent Dampoort' station. From there, you can take tram line 1 towards 'Gent St. Pieters' and get off at 'Kouter'. Walk towards the Prinsenhofplein and you will find the Standbeeld Keizer Karel.

    Public Transport

    From your accommodation in Blankenberge, head to the nearest tram station. Take tram line 1 towards 'Brugge'. After about 15 minutes, transfer to the train at 'Brugge' station. Board the train heading towards 'Gent St. Pieters'. The train journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at 'Gent St. Pieters', exit the station and take tram line 1 towards 'Gent Dampoort'. Get off at 'Kouter', and from there, it is a short walk to Prinsenhofplein. Follow the signs directing you to the square, where you will find the Standbeeld Keizer Karel.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Blankenberge. Start by heading towards the coastal bike path which runs parallel to the beach. Follow the signs directing you to Ghent via the designated cycling routes. The ride is approximately 13 km and will take around 45 minutes. As you reach Ghent, follow the signs to the city center. Once you arrive, you can park your bicycle at one of the bike racks near the Prinsenhofplein. The Standbeeld Keizer Karel will be located just a short walk from the bike parking area.
