From the Market Square in Bruges, head southwest towards the Sint-Salvatorskerk (St. Salvator's Cathedral). Continue walking along the Hoogstraat until you reach the junction with the Zilverstraat. Turn left onto Zilverstraat and continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Molenmeers. Cross the canal using the bridge and continue straight onto the Sint-Jansstraat. Follow Sint-Jansstraat until you reach the main road, then turn left onto the N32, which will take you out of Bruges. Follow the signs for Ypres (Ieper), and after approximately 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Menenstraat in Ypres. The Menin Gate is located at the end of this street.

Start at Bruges Railway Station. Purchase a ticket to Ypres at the station's ticket counter or automated machines. Board the train to Ypres, which usually takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Ypres Station, exit the station and head towards the town center. Walk straight along the station's exit road, which will lead you to the main square. From the main square, follow the signs to Menenstraat. Continue straight until you reach the Menin Gate, which will be on your right.
