Parlamentarium Travel Guide

The Parlamentarium, located in Brussels, is the European Parliament's premier visitor center and the largest parliamentary visitor center in Europe. Opened in 2011, it offers a dynamic and interactive journey through the history of European cooperation, the workings of the European Parliament, and the challenges faced by its members. The Parlamentarium uses multimedia exhibits, including a 360° cinema, interactive floor maps, and touchscreen interfaces, to engage visitors of all ages. A personal multimedia guide (PMG) is provided, offering commentary and information in all 24 official EU languages. The center is fully accessible to visitors with disabilities, offering facilities for those with reduced mobility, visual impairments, and hearing difficulties.Visitors can explore the history of the EU, learn about the roles and responsibilities of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), and understand how EU legislation impacts citizens across the continent. The Parlamentarium also hosts temporary exhibitions and events, ensuring a fresh and relevant experience for returning visitors. The average visit takes around 90 minutes, allowing ample time to explore the various exhibits and interactive displays. Admission is free, making it an accessible and enriching experience for everyone.
