    Château Malou, or Maloukasteel in Dutch, is a captivating neoclassical building located in the Brussels municipality of Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. Constructed in 1776 by Lambert de Lamberts, a wealthy merchant, the château replaced a former 17th-century hunting lodge. The elegant structure is situated in the middle of Malou Park, overlooking the picturesque valley of the Woluwe stream. Throughout its history, Château Malou has been owned by notable figures, including Pierre van Gobbelschroy, an orangist minister, and Jules Malou, the Finance Minister of the new Belgian government, who occupied the building from 1853 onwards. The château derives its name from Jules Malou, in recognition of his contributions to Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. Today, Château Malou is owned by the municipality and serves as a vibrant cultural hub. It hosts various cultural activities, exhibitions, conferences, and even wedding celebrations.
