Groot Vlaenderen: A Cocktail Haven in Bruges

Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of De Haan, head west towards the beach. Follow the main road, Zeedijk, along the coast until you reach the intersection with Vosseslag. Turn right onto Vosseslag and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto N35, and follow it until you reach the train station in Oostende. From there, take a train to Brugge (Bruges) which will take about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Brugge station, exit the train station and head southwest on Stationsplein towards the city center. Continue straight onto Oostmeers, then turn left onto Vlamingstraat. Groot Vlaenderen will be on your right at Vlamingstraat 94.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in De Haan. Start your journey by cycling west along the coast road, Zeedijk. Continue on this road until you reach the roundabout, then follow the signs for the N35 towards Brugge. The bike ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Upon reaching Brugge, follow the signs towards the city center, cycling on the bike lanes. Once you reach the city center, look for Vlamingstraat, and take a right. Groot Vlaenderen is located at Vlamingstraat 94.

• Public Transport

  From De Haan, walk to the nearest bus stop (there are several on the main road). Take Bus 10 towards Oostende. After about 20 minutes, get off at the Oostende train station. From Oostende, catch a train to Brugge (Bruges). The train ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Brugge station, exit and head southwest towards the city center. Continue straight onto Stationsplein, then onto Oostmeers, and finally turn left on Vlamingstraat, where Groot Vlaenderen is located at number 94.
