Getting There

  • Bus

    From De Haan, walk to the nearest bus stop, De Haan, Pannenhuis. Board the bus line 47 towards Ostend. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes until you reach Oostende Station. From there, transfer to the train heading to Middelburg. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at Middelburg Station. From the station, head east on Stationsweg and turn left onto Abdijstraat. Continue straight until you reach the Middelburg Abbey.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle in De Haan and head west towards the coastal bike path. Follow the path north until you reach the intersection with Natiënlaan. Turn right onto Natiënlaan and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Westkapelseweg and follow the signs towards Middelburg. The bike ride will take about 45 minutes and will lead you directly to the Middelburg Abbey.

  • Walking

    If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk, start at the center of De Haan and head towards the beach. Walk north along the beach promenade until you reach the junction with Natiënlaan. Turn left and continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Westkapelseweg. Follow Westkapelseweg, and after about an hour, you will arrive at Middelburg Abbey.
