Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Dinant, walk towards the Meuse River and the Charles De Gaulle bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the signs towards the Citadelle. You can ascend to the Citadelle via a stairway of 408 steps. Allow approximately 20 minutes for the uphill walk. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

  • Public Transport

    From Dinant train station, take bus line 433 towards DINANT Place Collard. The bus ride takes approximately 1 minute, and the bus stop is a short walk from the Citadelle. A single ticket costs around €1 - €3.

  • Cable Car

    The cable car station is located near the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame, close to the Charles De Gaulle bridge. Purchase tickets at the lower station. A one-way ticket costs €5 for adults, or a round-trip ticket for €7.50. The cable car brings you to the top of the Citadel.
