Walking
From the Dinant city center, near the Collégiale Notre-Dame, the Citadelle is a steep uphill walk. Follow the signs towards the Citadelle. Be prepared for a climb of 408 steps. Allow approximately 15-20 minutes for the ascent. Alternatively, the lower cable car station is located near the church, offering a less strenuous option.
Public Transport
From Dinant train station, take bus line 433 towards Dinant Place Collard. The bus ride is approximately 1 minute, and buses depart hourly. From Dinant Place Collard, it is a short walk to either the cable car entrance or the base of the stairs leading up to the Citadelle. The bus fare is between €1-€3.
Driving
From the E411 Brussels-Luxembourg motorway, take exit 20 and follow signs to Dinant. Once in Dinant, follow signs towards the Citadelle. There are two free parking areas located at the top of the Citadelle. Note that access to the Citadel for disabled visitors is only available through the top entrance.
