    Public Transport

    The easiest way to reach the Atomium is by metro. Take metro line 6 towards Roi Baudouin and get off at Heysel station. From Brussels Central Station, take metro lines 1 or 5 to Beekkant, then transfer to line 6 towards Roi Baudouin. From Midi Station, take line 6 towards Roi Baudouin. Upon exiting Heysel metro station, walk through the Brupark car park to reach the Atomium. A single metro ticket costs around €3.

    From Heysel metro station, the Atomium is a short walk through the Brupark car park. Follow the signs towards the Atomium, which is visible from the station. The walk takes approximately 5-7 minutes.

    If driving, the Atomium is located just off the E40 highway. Parking is available near the Atomium, but the Atomium does not have private or guarded parking facilities. The Atomium represents an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times, a symbol of the Atomic Age and the peaceful use of atomic energy.Standing at 102 meters (335 feet) tall, the Atomium consists of nine interconnected spheres, each 18 meters (59 feet) in diameter. Stainless steel cladding covers the spheres. Visitors can explore several of the spheres, which are connected by escalators and offer a surrealistic walk through surprising spaces. The top sphere provides panoramic views of Brussels.Inside, the Atomium houses a museum with exhibits on the history of the structure and Expo 58.
