    From Namur city center (Place d'Armes), head southwest towards Rue de la Monnaie. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Rue de Bruxelles. Turn right onto Rue de Bruxelles and walk for another 300 meters. Follow the signs for the Citadel of Namur, which will lead you up a slight incline. Esplanade AC/DC is located just outside the main entrance to the Citadel.

    From Namur Railway Station, take bus number 2 or 4. The bus stop is located just outside the station. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Citadelle' stop. On June 29, 1980, AC/DC performed their first concert with new lead singer Brian Johnson at the Palais des Expositions (now Namur Expo) in Namur. This concert marked the beginning of the 'Back in Black' world tour and held special significance for both the band and their fans. In 2021, 41 years after that historic concert, the city of Namur honored AC/DC by naming the hemicycle-shaped square in front of Namur Expo as Esplanade AC/DC. The esplanade features a statue of Brian Johnson, sculpted by artist Anthony Cognaux, capturing the energy of his performance. Sixteen chairs surround the statue, each dedicated to a past or present member of the band. Brian Johnson himself visited the esplanade in April 2023 to inaugurate the tribute. Today, Esplanade AC/DC serves as a pilgrimage site for AC/DC fans and a cultural landmark for Namur.
