Car
From Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse, head towards the E42 motorway. Take the E42 towards Namur and then merge onto the E40 towards Ghent. Continue on the E40 for about 40 kilometers. Take exit 9-Gent-Zuid and follow signs for the city center. Once you reach the city, navigate to Sint-Veerleplein. Gravensteen will be located at Sint-Veerleplein 11, 9000 Gent. There may be parking available nearby, but expect to pay for parking in the city center.
Train and Walk
From Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse, take a train to Ghent. You can catch a train from nearby stations like Charleroi or Namur, depending on your exact location. The train journey will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at Ghent St. Peter's station, exit the station and take tram line 1 towards 'Groot-Brijde.' Get off at 'Korenmarkt,' and from there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Gravensteen located at Sint-Veerleplein 11. The tram fare typically costs around €3.
Bus and Walk
If traveling by bus, check local bus schedules to find a route that goes to Ghent. Once in Ghent, disembark at the main bus terminal and walk to Sint-Veerleplein. This is about a 15-minute walk. Keep in mind that bus tickets can vary in price, so check local transit websites for the most current fare information.
