Housed in the prestigious Brussels Stock Exchange (Bourse) building, a neoclassical architectural gem constructed between 1868 and 1873, the museum takes visitors on a sensory journey through the world of Belgian beer. The experience unfolds across six immersive zones, each revealing a new chapter in the story of Belgian beer, from its ancient roots to its modern-day innovation. Visitors can explore the brewing process, discover the unique ingredients and techniques that make Belgian beer so special, and learn about the families and breweries that have shaped the industry. The museum also highlights the cultural significance of Belgian beer, which was added to UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2016. The visit culminates at the Skybar, a glass-enclosed bar on the roof of the Bourse, offering 360° views of Brussels. Here, visitors can sample a variety of Belgian beers (over 150 beers), relax and take in the stunning cityscape. The Skybar is also accessible outside of the museum's opening hours and can be booked for private events. Beyond the museum experience, the Bourse building offers a vibrant meeting place with amenities including a bar, restaurant, and co-working spaces. Visitors can also explore the Bruxella 1238 archaeological site located beside the Stock Exchange, which traces Brussels' history.
