    Discover more about Autoworld

Step into Autoworld and embark on a captivating journey through the history of the automobile. Located in the South Hall of Brussels' iconic Cinquantenaire Park, the museum boasts a collection of over 300 cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles, illustrating the evolution of automotive design and technology from its origins to modern innovations. The museum's story began with the passion of Ghislain Mahy, a renowned car collector who amassed over a thousand vehicles. In 1986, a selection of his collection formed the basis of Autoworld, which was established with the support of King Albert II and other prominent figures. The museum is housed in the Palais Mondial, a historic building constructed in 1880 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Belgian independence and used for motorcar exhibitions from 1902 to 1936. Autoworld showcases vehicles from different eras, including early automobiles, Belgian-produced models like Minervas, and limousines belonging to the Belgian Royal Family. Special sections highlight sports and competition cars, micro and bubble cars, and the history of the Belgian car industry. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions throughout the year, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience for every visitor.
