Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Braine-l'Alleud. Use the A1 motorway and take the exit towards N25. Continue on N25 and follow the signs for Waterloo. Once in Waterloo, follow the signs to Rte du Lion 1815. Parking is available near the battlefield, but may incur a fee.
Train
For those using public transportation, take a train to Braine-l'Alleud Station from Brussels Central Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Braine-l'Alleud Station, exit the station and catch bus number 130 or 132 towards Waterloo. Get off at the 'Lion's Mound' stop, which is about a 5-minute walk from Waterloo Battlefield. Bus tickets can be purchased at the station or on the bus.
Bus
If you are already in the vicinity of Waterloo, you can take local buses. Bus number 365 connects various towns in Flemish Brabant to Waterloo. Make sure to check the local bus schedules for the most accurate times. Once you arrive at the Waterloo area, follow the signs directing you to Rte du Lion 1815, which is where the battlefield is located.
