Bus
From the Genk Central Station, take bus line 34 towards Valkenburg. The bus departs every 30 minutes. You will need to get off at the 'Valkenburg Cauberg' stop. From there, walk approximately 5 minutes downhill along the Cauberg street, and you will reach Gemeentegrot located at Cauberg 4.
Train and Bus
Take a train from Genk to Maastricht, which runs every 30 minutes and takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Maastricht station, switch to bus line 57 towards Valkenburg. Get off at 'Valkenburg Cauberg' stop, then walk 5 minutes downhill along the Cauberg street to reach Gemeentegrot at Cauberg 4.
Walking
If you are staying in the city center of Genk, you can choose to walk to Gemeentegrot. It is about a 10 km walk which takes approximately 2 hours. Head southwest on the Meent towards the Molenbeek and follow signs towards Valkenburg. You’ll pass through scenic areas and nature trails. Once you reach Valkenburg, follow signs to Cauberg, where Gemeentegrot is located at Cauberg 4.
