Bus
From the Genk city center, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located at 'Genk Station'. Take bus line 34 towards 'Maastricht'. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Maastricht Luikerweg' stop. From there, walk about 5 minutes down Luikerweg until you reach 'Luikerweg 80a'. The North Caves Maastricht Underground will be on your right.
Train and Walk
Start at Genk train station. Take a train heading towards Maastricht. The journey will take around 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Maastricht train station, exit the station and head towards 'Stationsplein'. From there, take bus line 2 or 3 towards 'Maastricht Luikerweg'. Get off at the 'Luikerweg' stop. Walk about 5 minutes down Luikerweg until you reach 'Luikerweg 80a', where the North Caves Maastricht Underground is located.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Genk. Head towards the cycle path following the signs to Maastricht. The route is approximately 12 km and takes around 40 minutes. Follow the signs to Maastricht, and once you reach the city, navigate to Luikerweg. The North Caves Maastricht Underground is located at Luikerweg 80a, which is easy to find once you are in the area.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and don't mind a long walk, you can walk from Genk to Maastricht. It’s about 12 km, which will take you approximately 2.5 hours. Follow the signs to Maastricht and take the most direct walking path. Once in Maastricht, navigate to Luikerweg, where you will find the North Caves Maastricht Underground at Luikerweg 80a.
