Bus
From the Genk train station, take bus number 34 towards 'Aachen'. The bus stop is located just outside the main entrance of the station. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the 'Aachen, Pontstraße' stop. From there, walk approximately 5 minutes to the Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche by heading southeast on Pontstraße until you reach the church at number 148.
Train and Walk
Start at Genk train station and take a train heading to Aachen. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Aachen Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and head west on Bahnhofsplatz. Turn right onto Theaterstraße, continue straight until you reach Pontstraße. Turn left on Pontstraße and walk for approximately 10 minutes until you reach Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche at Pontstraße 148.
Walking
If you are in the city center of Genk, the Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche is quite far to walk directly. However, if you prefer a scenic route, head towards the Genk shopping center, then follow the avenue 'Koningin Astridlaan' towards the south until you reach the bus station. From there, you can take a bus or a train as previously described.
Bicycle
For those who are comfortable riding a bicycle, you can rent one in Genk and take the cycling path towards Aachen. The route is approximately 12 kilometers and will take around 45 minutes. Follow the cycling signs towards Aachen, and upon entering the city, navigate towards Pontstraße. The Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche will be at Pontstraße 148.
