From Ghent, head to the Gent-Sint-Pieters Railway Station. Once there, purchase a ticket to Brussels Central Station (Bruxelles-Central). The train journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. After arriving at Brussels Central Station, exit the station and head towards the exit that leads to Rue de la Loi. Once outside, walk straight down Rue de la Loi until you reach the circular Place de la Bourse. From there, continue straight onto Rue des Colonies, which will take you to the Grote Markt in about 10 minutes.

From Ghent, go to the closest bus stop that services line 40 or 41 towards Brussels. These buses typically depart from the Ghent city center (ask for the nearest bus stop). The journey may take around 50-70 minutes depending on traffic. Get off at the Brussels Central Station stop. From there, follow the directions given in the train guidance to reach the Grote Markt.

Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Ghent. Head towards the main bike paths that lead to Brussels. The route is approximately 60 kilometers and will take around 2-3 hours depending on your cycling speed. Follow the designated bike lanes to navigate through the beautiful countryside and urban areas. Upon reaching Brussels, use a map app to navigate to the Grote Markt.

If you are already in Brussels, from Brussels Central Station, exit and head towards Rue de la Loi. Continue walking straight until you reach the circular Place de la Bourse, then turn onto Rue des Colonies. The Grote Markt will be straight ahead and is approximately a 10-minute walk from the station.
