If you are near the city center, start at the Korenmarkt square. From there, head towards the Sint-Niklaaskerk (St. Nicholas' Church). Walk past the church and continue straight onto the Veldstraat. Follow Veldstraat until you reach the intersection with the Jan Breydelstraat. Turn left onto Jan Breydelstraat, and after a short walk, you will find the Design Museum Gent at number 5 on your right.

If you are near the Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station, take tram line 1 towards 'Ledeberg'. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the city center. Get off at the stop 'Korenmarkt'. From Korenmarkt, walk towards Sint-Niklaaskerk, then follow the Veldstraat to Jan Breydelstraat as described above.
