Getting There

Walking
If you are in the city center of Ghent, start at St. Bavo's Cathedral (Sint-Baafskathedraal). From the cathedral, head south on Sint-Baafsplein toward Hoofdstraat. Turn left onto Hoofdstraat and continue until you reach the tram stop called 'Korenmarkt'. Take tram line 1 towards 'Brugge' and stay on the tram for about 30 minutes. Get off at 'Brugge Markt', which is the main square in Bruges. From there, you can easily see the Historium Bruges, located at Markt 1. It's a short walk across the square.

Train
From Ghent, head to Ghent St. Peter's station (Gent-Sint-Pieters). You can take bus 3 or tram 1 to get there if you are in the city center. Once at the station, buy a ticket to Bruges (Brugge). Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 30 minutes. After arriving at Bruges station, exit and head towards the city center. You can either walk for about 20 minutes or take bus number 1 or 6 from the station towards 'Brugge Markt'. The Historium Bruges is located at Markt 1, just a short walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer to travel by bus, take bus number 5 from Ghent city center (there are various stops like 'Korenmarkt' from where buses depart). Make sure to check schedules, as the bus may not run frequently. The bus will take you directly to Bruges. Once you arrive at the bus station in Bruges, it's about a 15-minute walk to Historium Bruges. Head towards the Markt (town square) and you will find the Historium at Markt 1.
