  • Walking

    If you are starting from the city center, head towards St. Bavo's Cathedral (Sint-Baafskathedraal). From the cathedral, walk straight down the Sint-Veerleplein square until you reach the crossroads. Turn left onto the Korenlei and follow the river for about 5 minutes. You will see a large open square on your right; this is Kouter.

    If you are near the main train station (Gent-Sint-Pieters), take tram number 1 towards 'Ledeberg'. Get off at the 'Kouter' stop, which is approximately 10 minutes away. Once you exit the tram, you will be directly in Kouter square.

    If you have rented a bicycle, start from the Gravensteen castle and head towards the city center. Proceed through the Veldstraat shopping area until you reach the Kouter. It's a straight ride of about 10 minutes, and there are bike lanes available along the route.
