    If you are in the center of Hasselt, start by heading to the Hasselt train station (Stationstraat 1). From the train station, walk south on Stationstraat towards the main square (Grote Markt). Continue straight onto Maastrichterstraat, which will lead you to the main square. Once you reach the square, look for the signs directing you to the bus station (Busstation). From the Grote Markt, you can take bus number 45 or 47 to Valkenburg. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Valkenburg stop. From the bus stop, walk towards Cauberg, which is the main hill in Valkenburg, and follow the signs to Gemeentegrot, located at Cauberg 4. The entrance should be clearly marked.

    To reach Gemeentegrot from Hasselt using public transport, first make your way to the Hasselt train station (Stationstraat 1). Purchase a ticket to Valkenburg at the ticket counter or vending machines. Take a train towards Maastricht and switch trains at either Liège or the next station to catch a train heading towards Valkenburg. The train journey will take about 30 to 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Valkenburg station, exit the station and head towards the left to find the bus stop. Take bus number 45 or 47 that heads to Cauberg. After a short ride, get off at the Cauberg stop. Gemeentegrot is a short walk away; simply follow the signs to Cauberg 4.
