    From Hasselt train station, exit towards the bus stop located right outside the station. Look for bus line 1 (Hasselt - Kuringen). Board the bus and travel towards the Herkenrode Abbey stop. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Herkenrode Abbey stop, the abbey is just a short walk away. Follow the path leading from the bus stop, and you will see the entrance to Herkenrode Abbey on your left.

    If you prefer to walk from the city center of Hasselt, start at the main square (Grote Markt). Head northeast along the street 'Koningin Astridlaan' for about 1.5 km until you reach 'Herkenrodeabdij 4'. The abbey will be on your left.
